Wow – that Shop Hop was a lot of fun!
Thank you all for helping to make this event one of our best Shop Hops ever!
We enjoyed meeting you all and hope you had an opportunity to visit all of the participating shops.
Some of you have already been busy making up all those patriotic blocks you picked up during your travels. We’re so excited to see what some of you have accomplished so far.
We’ve received lots of questions about how to donate your sewn Shop Hop blocks to NW Oregon Quilts of Valor. We’re going to make it SEW simple ; )
Have some fun making up your blocks and drop them off at Quilter’s Corner Store in Beaverton. We will take care of getting them to the more than 100 volunteers at NW Oregon Quilts of Valor. These fine folks will make them up into a finished quilt and it will be awarded to a veteran in our area.
Would you rather make up a whole quilt top? Awesome! Did you download one (or both) of the quilts that were designed for the shop hop?
Here’s the link to the QUILT SETTING INSTRUCTIONS. When you get to the page – scroll down to get the instructions for both quilts.
One additional thought – are you new to quilting?
NW Oregon Quilts of Valor holds regular sewing days in our area. These events are a great way to meet other quilters, learn some new skills and be part of a rewarding experience.
I have been assured that you don’t need to have any skills at all – just a willingness to help out and learn. They will teach you what you need to know.
Interested? – visit the NW Oregon Quilts of Valor Facebook Page and send a message to Faith Holloway (she’s one of the ringleaders of this amazing group). She will help you get connected with the organization and you’ll be on your way!
We’ll be shop hopping again in the fall – October 8 – 22, 2016
for the Harvest and Stitches Shop Hop.
Save the date now and join us for another fun Shop Hop!
