By registering for a Stitches Shop Hop event – I indicate that I understand the requirements and agree to participate according to the rules listed below.
My participation fee is due by the date posted for each event.
I agree to purchase at least 1 bolt of the theme fabric: You will have an opportunity to vote for one of two fabric groups (changes each event). You will be provided with the selected palette to choose from once your registration is complete and the groups have been selected. We will go with whichever palette gets the most votes from registered shops for each event. Please note – 1 bolt may (probably will not) be enough depending on the amount of fabric used in your block. Order enough to ensure you do not run out.
My 6″ Block
I agree to provide to each customer at no cost, a pattern and instructions for a 6” (finished) quilt block as well as all of the fabric to make that 6” block. I understand that at least one of the themed fabrics (selected blender line in one of the selected colors) must be used in the block. If I run out – I will contact another participating shop to acquire additional yardage as needed.
Any fabrics you use from your current inventory – must coordinate in color, tone and feel to the “official” shop hops fabrics. Shop hoppers will be using your block in a quilt and will want your block to coordinate.
Shop Hoppers will be voting to determine the best 6″block design. The winning shop will be announced and will receive an award.
My Shop Project
I will also work up my block into a (small or large) project and display it prominently during the event. This project is designed to showcase what’s unique about my own shop and provide shop hoppers with a wide range of creative ideas.
Shop Hoppers will be voting to determine the best small project – incorporating the 6″block. The winning shop will be announced and will receive an award.
I agree to honor a $50 Gift Certificate made out to the winner for my store at the conclusion of the event. The Gift Certificate winner’s names will be drawn at the closing meeting at the end of the shop hop – along with the winners for all other prizes of $50.00 or more. (Stitches Shop Hops will complete and send the Gift Certificate to your winner.)
I agree to do an in-store drawing for a prize of $25.00. I will choose the winner of my in-store drawing at the end of the shop hop – and notify Stitches Shop Hops with the name of my winner at the conclusion of each event.
Shop Hop Hours
I agree that my shop will be open at least 6 days each week during all event hours: 10 am – 5 pm (Sunday hours may vary). Additional hours / days are determined by each individual shop. Open hours / days for each shop will be printed on the Passport and on the Driving Directions.
Printed Materials / Marketing Materials
I understand that I will be provided with printed Passports, in-store drawing slips and other printed or digitally delivered materials to be used in marketing this event.
The goal is to create a positive shop hop experience for both shops and customers – I understand that my failure to follow these few rules will negatively impact the customer experience for all shops and may result in my shop being removed from participation in future shop hops.
